New year resolutions in spring?!
Lets be honest. At the start of the year we all make these wonderful new resolutions that will surely make us better people right?
Perhaps, but if only we actually stuck to them.
After a week, the novelty wears off and we find ourselves back at the start, maybe even worse off than before.
Well my question is: why do we only make resolutions at the start of a new year??!
Why not try again now- TODAY.
One of my new resolutions was to work out more, since I always seem to opt for Pinterest and YouTube over sit ups and running. After a few days, I ran out of energy and completely came to a stand still.
Well now we are in March, basically spring, and I still haven't rebooted and tried again.
But I am determined to ensure that my goal gets set into action before Easter rolls around and this morning I woke up unexpectedly early and did 20 minutes of cardio.
Maybe it's not much and maybe it didn't make a big difference, but it sure did give me more energy throughout the day and if I slowly work my way up- I will be able to do more.
Afterwards it just got me thinking about all the stuff I want to accomplish this year instead of procrastinating like I normally do.
1.) This year I want to redo my room again, but not fully since I did it at the start of last year. My aim is to bring in some more colour, rearrange the furniture. Get a new bookshelf or storage unit and declutter my wardrobe.
2.) As I've already mentioned I want to be healthier this year. Drink more water, have a healthier diet and exercise more often. None of which to loose a ton of weight, but just to tone up and feel better!
3.) I am currently in the process of writing a teen fiction, mystery style book and I really really want to complete it this year since I started it last year and I know exactly where I want it to go.
4.) Saving money is such a hard task for me to accomplish but I am determined to save up a good amount of money this year and stop flittering it away. I am putting aside a small amount of all the money I earn and receive so that at the end of the year I have money to do more with next year and just for when I really need it,
5.) Finally this year I would love to redo my look. Not something drastic, but I want to introduce brighter and more daring clothing into my appearance and experiment with bolder makeup looks and try new hairstyles. The best way to get into a new process of thinking is to have a new start and I think this will be a great way to do it!
